Designing and creating clothing with simple sophisticated lines and classic shapes that enhance changing body shapes is the focus of Karen Lee. The eponymous label is about the female form and encouraging the wearer to dress in her own style, be comfortable and confident in expressing her individuality and allowing the garment to become hers.
Transcending age, the designs are for the consumer, not about current trends. They are inspired by Karen's life experiences, observations, fabric and technical knowledge.
Karen grew up making her own clothes and completed a Bachelor of Design (Fashion) in 2008 at the Canberra Institute of Technology.
In August 2013 Karen Lee joined with the label 4 Minutes 33 and opened a collaborative retail and studio space. Assemblage Project is located at Shop 66, 30 Lonsdale St, Braddon, 2612.
